We also moved, again. And we went on a 2 week long vacation.
So I'm just going to blog about these things in the order in which they happened.
The first thing that happened was James finishing his internship. Twelve months and four rotations finally came to an end. He finished on Friday, May 9th,
and we got the moving truck on the next Monday morning.
We spent all day loading the truck. This time it was all of our stuff, including everything that had been in storage for a year.
The kids were a big help, as you can see, they got to work and didn't goof around at all.
Tuesday morning, May 13th, we did a final walk through with the landlord and were on our way to our next destination.
We got to our new house that afternoon, signed papers and got the keys. Then the work began. We unloaded the truck. All of it. All by ourselves. It took until 10 o'clock that night.
We took a dinner break at the only fast food place in town. Did I mention we live in a very small town now?
The next day, Wednesday, we cleaned and unpacked a few boxes.
We also explored our new area. Have I also mentioned that we live 2 blocks from the ocean? Two, just two!
And then down just a few (million) stairs and you're on the beach!
Logan found driftwood, so he was happy.
Taylor found waves to jump over, so she was happy.
James found rocks to climb on, so he was happy.
And I found scenes to photograph, so I was happy.
All this and more just a short walk from our front door.
We also have a city park and the library, just 2 blocks from our house, in the opposite direction.
We're pretty content with the location of our new place. It is technically the biggest place we've lived in, (okay, besides the house in Roseburg). But it doesn't feel that big with all our stuff in it. It's 1,450 sq. ft.
It meets our needs though. It has 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, a 2-car garage and a fenced backyard.
So, on Thursday, just 2 days after moving, we left for graduation festivities in Forest Grove.
