Freeland and Clinton

Freeland and Clinton are two small towns in the southern half of Whidbey Island.

We went to Freeland to checkout their library, one drizzly day a few weeks ago.  There are only 4 libraries on the island, so we thought it would be fun to see each of them.

The kids each found plenty of books to look at and....

their own unique way in which to read them.

That was pretty much the extent to which we explored the town of Freeland.  Being a rainy day we didn't walk around or play at any parks.

Another day, a sunny day, we ventured further south to the Clinton Library.

Cool "chair" out front.  It was the first thing the kids ran too.

They each had to take a turn trying it out, of course.

The actual library is the smallest of the 4 we've seen.

Even so, the kids had no problems finding things to play with,

and books to read.

This time we were able to let the kids run off some energy at a park.

Taylor loved having James push her on this disc thing.  It was like a amusement park ride.

It doesn't matter what it is, if you can climb it, Logan will.

Swinging and chatting.  But mostly chatting.

One more, last time down the slide before we go.

I think it s great that part of every adventure in anew town you seem to find the local library and the kids discover nre books and ways to read them! Any books on ships?
