This is our entry way. That's our front door & coat closet. We set that chair against the wall to have a place to put on our shoes. Most of our shoes are in the closet, but we have our most often used ones on a little shelf, to be handy.
Then, just turning to the left, you see our kitchen. It looked big to me at first. Then I started trying to find a place for everything and realized how small it really is. I had to put food storage on top of the cupboards.
Now, if you were you to stand in the entry way and look toward our front room, this is what you'd see. We put up a map of Washington and the island on the wall. We... or at least I, refer to them all the time.
Standing at the kitchen counter, looking into our dining room/front room. It's different having the dining room and front room together this way, but I like it because it makes it feel bigger and more open.
There's one hallway. At one end is the master bedroom and at the other is the 2nd bedroom. James and I are using bins and small bookshelves as dressers. Not as nice, but much lighter and easier to move than dressers.
Master bathroom.
Behind the door in the Master bathroom is our bin of misc. bathroom & cleaning supplies. It's all the stuff from our upstairs bathroom and hall closet. We're just leaving it all in the bin. When we move again it will be all ready to go.
Same with our medicine cabinet and our bin of kitchen cleaning supplies. Not unpacking them, means I don't have to re-pack them.
The kids' bedroom (at the opposite end of the short hallway). They are sharing this time. It's a tight squeeze and neither one of them has a space of their very own, so we're looking for 3 bedrooms from here on out. I think they'll get along better if they don't have to see quite so much of each other.
Right next to the kids' bedroom, is a bathroom, so they get there own this time. It's nice having 2 full bathrooms. We also have a washer and dryer. It's in a closet across the hall from this bathroom.
And that's pretty much it. That's where we live. Small and cozy. We love the location though. It's very near grocery stores and parks. Nothing is too far away.
We're all settled in and loving the area. We're not looking forward to packing up and moving again in two months, but that's gonna be the way it goes until James graduates.
I'm so glad we are here though and that we're doing this together and that we're keeping our family together the entire time. It's worth all the work and sacrifice and inconvenience.
One month and one move down! 11 months and 4 moves to go! But who's counting?!?
